Classes Cancelled Temporarily

After ongoing disagreements with NYC Fit Club regarding prices for our Karate students, we were informed today, Sunday January 14th, 2018 that this is our last day running our Karate program at the gym. Over the past year the gym has raised prices on our class packages without informing us. Our students have contacted us expressing their concern with the continuously increasing prices and the lack of sanitary conditions at the gym.We used to offer a generous family discount to make training for all of your children reasonable and affordable, but the gym will not acknowledge our prices and discounts.

If you have paid for the month in full, you should ask to get a refund for the remainder of the month; however, due to the gym’s poor refund policy, you may have difficulty getting your refund. You can see complaints from other NYC FIT Club members here, who have tried to get refunds:

You are entitled to the teacher you signed up and paid for. If the gym refuses to refund you for the remaining two weeks of January, you can report them to the Better Business Bureau. 

Please feel free to contact Sensei Dante or Sempai Liz if they refuse to refund your money. We will try to help.

All students who join us in our new location will receive a voucher to welcome them back when we reopen. We are relocating very soon and will keep you informed. 

As a reminder, this means none of our staff will be available at NYC FIT CLUB. We are removing our equipment and our AED device. We have been unable to verify if the gym has its own AED or staff who are certified to use it.

I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. The safety of our students is our #1 priority.
