June Karate Promotion Test

by Alison on May 22, 2012

We will be holding our next belt promotion test on Sunday, June 17th (Father’s Day). That’s right, we will beat your kids up for you on Father’s Day;) Just another service we offer. No, actually, we will let them beat each other up, in a controlled environment, with protective gear.

We will hold the regular karate skills class for ages 4-6 (below blue belt) from 1-1:30pm and the test will start right afterwards.
Ages 7-12 (and younger blue belts) will test from 1:30-2:30pm, adults and teens from 2:30-3:30pm.
Tests will consist of warm-ups, basics, stepping drills, kata (forms) and kumite (fighting).

Please wear your full uniform and arrive early! If you have shinpads & knuckle protectors please bring them. We strongly suggest that all students ranked blue belt and above should get their own set. We sell them for $25 for both.

We will be notifying you what rank Shihan Alfred wants you to test for. Testing is not compulsory, but is a good way to measure progress and build your self-confidence. If he suggests you take the test he fully expects you to pass it; we are not setting you up for failure.
Please talk or write to us if you want to discuss testing.

Students who are not testing for a full belt are welcome to attend and assist and possibly get a stripe.
The cost of a stripe test (up to green) is a single class.
The cost for full belts up to green is $65.

Osu!
